Por razões
mais ou menos evidentes, o seguinte post será escrito em inglês. A todos os anti-anglófonos ou defensores acérrimos da pátria língua, lamento. Não sinceramente, mas lamento.
Last Saturday, along with a wonderful companion, I went for a walk in Lisbon.
But those who think this was one of those bloody normal tour around the downtown, Belém and stuff, you're wrong!
After some delicatessen shopping in Corte Inglès, we've decided to go to Estrela to feel whatever is there to feel. Maybe life, which is something you can not even smell in Baixa.
I confess it was absolutely great to have a walk around the garden that was incredibly crowded. Fantastic mood on it!
After that great feeling, it happened one of the weirdest things ever:
Gonçalo had a sudden glimpse of patriotism as we were passing in front of the Parliament, taking loads of pics in the oddest positions you can imagine.
I've decided to let myself seduce by the tram.
Once Gonçalo felt so patriotic, I've decided to show him Campo Mártires da Pátria. But unfortunately the fever has already gone for the time being.
On the other hand, I was rather nostalgic of my student times, feeling that I could have done something more of my life, or maybe not.
Well, the following picture only makes me remind of Vasco Santana and the famous Fado do Estudante.
Anyway, what I do know is that whether your life may seem to be in darkness, there's only a part of it that's staring at the sun.
I know this last part sounds rather philosophical. But it's not. I don't even know what it means. It just felt nice to write it.
Thanks for the great evening Gonzie and Mira!
